HORGANS Delicatessan Supplies has received its first contract to supply Irish cheeses to Marks & Spencer, both in Ireland and in Britain. The initial order has an annualised value of £250,000 with substantial potential, the company said.

The order follows a £500,000 investment last year in upgrading cheese cutting and wrapping at Horgans facility in Mitchelstown, Co Cork. The four selected cheeses are: Cashel Blue, Doolin, Gubbeen and Taymere. Horgans, established in 1977, distributes some 350 cheeses in Ireland.
