The case for GM crops: From my point of view, it is very clear that the GM crops have a big advantage when compared to conventional crops in regard to the fact that they dramatically reduce insecticide usage.

The future for crop production in the State: What I think Ireland and other countries need to do is make sure we have the competency to develop crops for our own needs. We need to develop the genes that are relevant for the way we need to produce crops.

Fighting media battles: Scientists find it hard to react in a debate at a speed which the public demands and that has not been helpful.
