The Informix Software Corporation, which has an International Shared Service Centre in Dublin, has announced strong first-quarter results. Following a concerted effort to reduce costs over the past year, the company reported a net profit of $4.9 million or $0.03 per share compared to a net loss of $0.95 per share for the same quarter in 1997. Revenues of $167.2 million were the highest for a first quarter in the company's history and represented a 12.1 per cent growth over the equivalent quarter last year.
