Dublin-based Softech Telecom yesterday introduced a new Internet tracking system, Ringmaster Internet Management System, which tackles the problem of companies losing productivity through employees going on the Web for recreational purposes. The package provides analysis of a company's browsing patterns and the source, destination and volume of e-mail traffic.
"Today, with increasing access of the Internet in the office, some employees have the potential to do their shopping, order their books and CDs, browse for their holidays and contact their friends, often resulting in a loss of productivity," Softech stated.
