A Department of Enterprise and Employment investigation is under way into the leaking of information about two industrial projects being negotiated by the IDA.

The two projects were Intel's £900 million expansion of its Leixlip factory, which was officially announced in October last year, and American Power Convertors £40 million investment, announced officially in November. News of both plans head previously appeared in The Iris Times. The investigation was revealed by the Minister, Mr Bralon, in a written Dail reply to the PD leader, Ms Mary Harney. He said that the Secretary of his Department was conducting an investigation which would be completed shortly.

Toner joins radio licence bid Mr Tom Toner has joined the board of National FM, one of the bidders for the independent national radio licence. Mr Toner will take up the role of non executive chairman if the bid is successful. Mr Toner is chairman of Arnotts, Irish Continental Lines, Inishtech and Tullow Oil.

National FM is a consortium comprising ICC Venture capital and More O'Ferrall Adshel with 30 per cent each and the Scottish radio station, Radio Clyde, with 35 per cent
