An Irish company took the brave step this week of offering "jargon-free" business Internet services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The announcement was made in Hanover, Germany, during CeBIT, the world's largest IT fair.
Mr Pat O'Reilly, founder and chief executive officer of eBizToday.com, promises his company will demystify the Internet for SMEs which cannot afford technical staff.
e-BizToday is a web host located in the US, with a virtual headquarters in Ireland, and a global team of specialist consultants teleworking via the Internet. It is offering "jargon-free" Internet services, and "friendly" pre-registered website addresses.
"All that business people need to know about the Internet is that it will bring more customers," says Mr O'Reilly. "They don't even need to have a computer. If a company has something to sell and has a fax machine, that is all that's needed for e-BizToday.com to attract new customers to their business via the web."
