Irish mobile addicts won't even have to answer their own phones following the introduction of a new service called Mobile Madness from iTouch Ireland.

The Irish firm this week introduced a new voice mail service that enables users to have their favourite band, TV personality or film star answer the phone.

The service features upbeat messages from Atomic Kitten, Steps and 5ive, plus a selection of around 200 spoof messages from characters as diverse as Basil Fawlty and Homer Simpson. Doh!
