British financial institutions will be targeted as potential customers of IT systems and services under a new Enterprise Ireland programme. The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Ms Harney, said the British retail financial services sector was changing rapidly, providing an opportunity for the software industry to meet its new needs. "Mergers and acquisition, and the influx of new entrants has caused the larger financial services institutions to diversify and develop new products," she said in London yesterday.
