NUL points to Reuters, the vaunted news agency, which this week reported that James Joyce's hero in Ulysses was "Leonard Bloom".
We daren't think quite what Molly Bloom would have made of this, though Reuters did issue a correction confirming her husband's name was Leopold.
Bloom was in the news following payment by an anonymous collector of £860,000 sterling (€1.4 million) for a draft chapter of the masterpiece. All this calls to mind an old yarn about a wise guy forced to endure the ramblings of an earnest bookworm at a ritzy party.
