A MIDDLE management employee in the US theme park industry, sacked after working only six months of his year long contract, this week received an unorthodox payoff only possible in the land of amusement parks. In settlement of his action against Walt Disney World in Orlando, former marketing manager, Michael Shulman, who managed a children's pet farm for Disney, received 40,000 entry tickets to the facility. The concession has a market value of £340,000. Specialist lawyers in the entertainment industry after they had stopped laughing said that such a payment was unprecedented. Shulman, who now works as a marketing consultant says he plans to hawk the tickets on the Internet at cut prices. He has already paid his lawyer in cash.
