The five executive directors of Kerry Group have spent £984,000 buying shares in the £16 million placing of two million shares with Kerry employees in Ireland. The two million shares offered to Kerry staff at 820p each was fully subscribed.

The share placing was a Revenue Commissioners-approved employee share scheme, and, as a result, the net cost of the 120,000 shares bought by directors Mr Denis Brosnan, Mr Hugh Friel, Mr Denis Cregan, Mr Jerry Houlihan and Mr Michael Griffin was just over £530,000. Those 120,000 shares are worth almost £1.2 million at the current market price of 980p.
