The Margin has been reading with interest stories carried recently on the internal difficulties of the Irish League of Credit Unions. Motions for the forthcoming annual meeting criticising the league's board were apparently pouring in until the board last week issued a confidential letter seeking suggestions from affiliates for a root-and-branch review.

The mood within the movement is reportedly tense. One motion submitted for the forthcoming meeting seeks to grant a mandate to the league board to identify the sources of leaks to the media concerning the league's affairs, and expel them. That's according to sources, of course.
