LINCOR SOLUTIONS, the healthcare technology provider, has been recognised as Ireland's fastest growing hi-tech firm.
The firm last night scooped the annual Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award having achieved an aggregate growth rate in revenues of 3,145 per cent over the last five years. The average growth rate of firms who entered the annual competition for Irish technology companies was 460 per cent.
Founded in 2003 and with offices in Dublin and Cork, Lincor has developed a system called MediVista, which provides bedside entertainment services for patients as well as point of care access to clinical data for medics. The touch-screen system can give access to TV, radio, telephone, internet, e-mail, video-on-demand and information services. It can also be used for patient education through video and surveys, dietary management and access to audio books.
Lincor has installed systems in hospitals in France, the Netherlands, the US, Britain, Italy, Malta and Ireland.
Quoted mobile services provider Zamano was ranked for the second year in a row with a growth rate of 1,627 per cent. Third was iSite, the Dublin systems integrator which is a partner of IBM and HP and which grew by 1,503 per cent. Both Lincor and iSite entered the Fast 50 for the first time this year.
Two companies were recognised in the rising star category for newer companies who have grown the fastest over the last three years.
Roomex, which provides online hotel booking, was the Republic's representative, while Stirk Lamont Associates, a multinational technology consultancy, was selected for Northern Ireland.
