Liquidator moves into mobile phone company

A provisional liquidator has been appointed to a Dublin wholesale mobile telephone company, MCJ Limited, by the High Court.

A provisional liquidator has been appointed to a Dublin wholesale mobile telephone company, MCJ Limited, by the High Court.

Mr J.W.R. Jackson, an accountant with KPMG, was appointed on the petition of the Irish Phone Company Limited, with registered offices at Boyne Road, Navan, Co Meath.

In court yesterday, Mr John Gleeson, for the Irish Phone Company, said his client had supplied MCJ, of City West Business Park, Naas Road, Dublin, with products, including mobile telephones. MCJ had a total indebtedness to his client of £132,749.

In an affidavit, Mr Thorben Jensen, a director of the Irish Phone Company, said he had been informed by Mr Mervin Chamney, managing director of MCJ, that it was unable to pay its creditors, had lost everything and its bankers were refusing to extend its credit.

Mr Justice McCracken made an order appointing the provisional liquidator and set July 27th as the return date for the petition to wind up the company.
