The Minister for Finance, Mr McCreevy, will bring an information memorandum before the Dβil this week on the sale of ACCBank to the Dutch-owned Rabobank. ACCBank is to be sold for €165 million (£130 million) to Rabobank.

The Government is understood to have indemnified Rabobank against potential multimillion pound cost overruns on the construction of the Four Seasons Hotel in Ballsbridge as part of the sale. The Department would not comment on the memorandum details yesterday.
