Eircom Business has signed a 12-month sponsorship of the Newstalk Breakfast show. The terms of the sponsorship, which is Eircom’s only current media sponsorship, were not disclosed.
“Our business customers are keen followers of the business news agenda and Newstalk Breakfast is a great fit for us as it has a large national business audience,” said Gary Disley, marketing director for Eircom Business.
The most recent set of audience figures for Newstalk Breakfast show, for the year to September 2012, show that it has a listenership of 133,000.
Harmonia Publishing chief executive Norah Casey joined in the autumn as a permanent co-host to Chris Donoghue, following the departure of Ivan Yates earlier last year.
O2 previously sponsored the show under a short-term arrangement. The Eircom deal follows Newstalk’s agreement in November with homecare provider Bluebird care to sponsor Hook’s Saturday Sit-In.
