Then you’ve somehow missed out on one of advertising’s most effective – though wildly irritating – campaigns of the noughties featuring a straight-talking character called Barry Scott extolling the virtues of Cillit Bang.
With his “Hi. I’m Barry Scott”, he never seemed to be off the TV from 2004 when the product was launched to 2008 when a new advertising strategy was devised.
Havas Worldwide has created a new campaign featuring the shouty man with the spray gun.
Barry Scott’s first outing on Irish screens will be on TV3 on December 3rd during Coronation Street.
