The Margin's man around Dublin was very impressed with Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy's first social outing with the financial and political hackpack (sorry, media).

The Minister proudly introduced new press officer Mandy Johnston to the assembled before departing home to his partner Noeleen, who is expecting their new baby in the coming weeks.

The Minister did, however, have the uncommon decency to leave behind the keys of his drinks cabinet.
