Motorola launched a new range of digital communication products yesterday.
The company said it its new range would include tri-band GSM telephones and a mobile organiser that works with its Startac mobile phones.
It also said that by 2000 all its digital mobile phones would have an internet browsing facility.
It will also make its digital phones compliant with the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) as soon as the systems interoperability standards are agreed.
"This means that consumers can expect to see the first Internet browsing capabilities appearing on a Motorala GSM phone by the end of the year, and across our entire digital phone range in 2000," Motorola said in a statement released at CeBit's Hanover technology fair.
