1) Establish a new Cabinet committee dedicated to deciding policy for the information society. This will be chaired by the Taoiseach and include: the Tanaiste and Ministers for Public Enterprise, Finance, Social Community and Family Affairs, Education and Science, Environment and Local Government, Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Health and Children, Agriculture and Foreign Affairs.
2) Appoint about 15 members to a new Information Society Commission.
3) Establish an expanded information society policy unit based within the Taoiseach's department.
4) Establish a new strategy group on e-government which will be composed of secretary generals of departments.
5) The information society fund will be £50 million (#63.5 million) this year and at least that for 2002.
