Northern Ireland Public Sector Enterprises (NICO) has won a £600,000 contract to help the government of Uganda to improve its financial planning over the next two years.
The contract, awarded by the UK Department for International Development following the recent IDB trade mission to Tanzania and South Africa, involves NICO working in co-operation with the accountancy firm Price Waterhouse to improve Ugandan planning, allocation, and monitoring of government expenditure and revenue. NICO will provide a team of experts from the Northern Ireland Audit Office and the Department of Finance and Personnel to work with staff from Price Waterhouse and the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) in Uganda.
