AN POST, Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard, AIB and Ulster Bank were among the winners at yesterday’s 2010 Business to Arts awards ceremony.
The awards showcase the creative potential of partnerships between the business and arts communities in fostering creativity.
Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard scooped an award for sponsoring the Absolut Fringe festival, while AIB won the Best Ongoing Sponsorship category for its partnership with the Street Performance World Championship.
Other award winners included Westport Chamber of Commerce and accountancy firm Ahern Co.
The Irish Museum of Modern Art received an award for its work in the past year with sponsors such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, BNY Mellon, BMW Ireland and boutique design firm ebow.
“It is now more relevant than ever to ensure that we inspire other organisations to develop creative partnerships which will allow us to create a sustainable creative sector that can form a vital part of our economy,” said Stuart McLaughlin, chief executive of Business to Arts.
