Oddbins, the British wine retailers, will open its first Irish outlet in Dublin this December. The company specialises in providing a wide wine range for its customers and has won Wine Magazine's Wine Merchant of the Year challenge for its quality of service eight times since 1988. The company became a subsidiary of the Canadian drinks company Seagram in 1984 and has 227 stores in Britain.
A spokeswoman said yesterday that the premises at Upper Baggot Street would be open in the first week of December.
