Biggest business mistake: Not moving into the computer industry until 1987.

Time of getting up: 6.45 a.m.

Time of finishing work: Whenever I feel I'm done.

Favourite breakfast: There's nothing to beat a pint of ice cold orange juice, Alpen, hot croissant, Barry's tea and The Irish Times after a good workout on a Saturday morning.

Form of exercise: A regular workout routine with the occasional blast of bad golf.

Holidays: At home, Sligo and the west; abroad, city breaks.

Favourite TV programme: Don't really have one but I get a good laugh from family favourites, Spin City, Seinfeld and Friends.

Favourite radio programme: The Last Word, The Eclectic Ballroom, Mo Cheol Thu, Sunday Miscellany, The Right Side, Balfe Street and The Sunday Supplement are all favourites.

Car you drive: Mercedes.

Commuting time: Mostly about 25 minutes, but way too long in the rain.

Favourite airline: Can't say that I have one.

The worst thing about travel: The packing and unpacking.

Favourite bank: I've been with Ulster for over 20 years.

Favourite tipple: Miller.

Favourite pub: The Thatch and O'Connors in Ballisodare and McLynn's, Old Market Street, Sligo.

Favourite restaurant: PD's Woodhouse in Dalkey . . . the "Surf and Turf" is great.

How do you spend your free time: Reading and playing music with as much time in the company of friends as I can manage to fit in.

Person you most admire: Recently it's been Mo Mowlam.

Dying words: Not on the top of my agenda and anyway, I'm hoping to go quietly into that great goodnight.
