Paul Costelloe International has said it plans to pare down its production unit in Northern Ireland and transfer account and administration functions from Moygashel, Dungannon to England. The proposal affects about 26 employees and consultations are currently taking place with staff about their entitlements and alternative opportunities.
Production, excepting a small sampling unit, will be subcontracted to other companies and the functions of the accounts department will be absorbed by a unit of Silk Industries which recently acquired most of the designer's business interests.
