Shannon Development has appointed Mr Frank Larkin as its new public relations manager. Mr Larkin, a native of Limerick city, has worked with the company for nine years in property development and tourism product development areas.

Professional recruitment specialist, HW Group PLC, has appointed Mr Warwick Holland as director of its operations in Ireland, taking control of recruiting in accountancy, finance, law, IT, human resources, and the technical sector.

Ms Maria Mahon has been appointed chief executive officer of The Irish Jobs Page, an online recruitment website. Previously Ms Mahon held the position of brand manager with Bord Failte and most recently she was marketing manager at 98FM.

Development Consultants International (DCI), the Irish-based holding company which has its headquarters in Dublin, has announced several key non-executive board appointments.

Mr Trevor Bowen who is a director of Ardmore Studios, Principle Management and The Mill and Celtic Heartbeat has been appointed chairman. Mr Bowen is a former partner with KPMG Dublin and has been a director of DCI since 1997.

The president of IBEC and chairman of Irish Distillers, Mr Richard Burrows, has joined the board of the company, while Baroness Chalker of Wallasey has joined the board of the company's British subsidiary, Landell Mills.

Airtel ATN, an independent Irish software developer and supplier of data communications solutions has made two appointments to its senior management team. Mr Kevin Jones, former general manager at Oracle Ireland and current chairman of the board of Beaumont Hospital, has been appointed to the position of chief executive officer of Airtel ATN. He will focus on strategic business development and consolidating the Dublin management team.

Mr Graham Harris, formerly divisional manager at electronic messaging company ISOCOR, has been appointed to the new position of vice-president of engineering services.

Meanwhile, Dr Norman Hewitt, former managing director of the company, will take up the position of vice-president of research and development. Mr Frank O'Con- nor, former operations director, moves to the position of vice-president of marketing, while Mr Joe McGolderick has been appointed to the new position of vice-president of technology.

Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants has appointed Ms Jillian O'Sullivan, as director of the corporate secretarial department. Ms O'Sullivan has been with the firm since 1991.

Five new partners and a head of consulting services in Dublin have been appointed by BDO Simpson Xavier, the chartered accounting and business advisory company. Mr Eddie Doyle, Mr Peter O'Neill and Mr David Giles become partners in the tax planning area, while Mr Noel Taylor and Mr Noel Clehane become partners in finance and general practice respectively. Mr Derry Gray has been appointed head of consulting services in Dublin.
