Marrakech has strengthened its management team with the appointment of two senior vice-presidents. Mr Paul Coombs has been appointed senior vicepresident of service delivery, while Mr Stephen Hurn has been promoted to senior vice-president of sales and marketing. Three new executive appointments have been made at Johnstown House Hotel and Spa. Mr Eric Faussurier has been appointed executive chef. Ms Mary Gallagher joins the Johnstown House Hotel team as deputy general manager from the Shelbourne Hotel, where she spent four years as night manager and concierge. Mr Martin Fagan takes up the role of food and beverage manager. Online travel service provider ebookers.com has appointed Ms Rose Kervick as general manager of its Irish subsidiary ebookers.ie. Ms Kervick will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, resources and operations of both British and Irish sales markets for ebookers.com in Dublin.
Ms Audrey Dunne has joined Deep-Insight from VISTECH Software. As well as developing new business areas as part of her role as business development manager, Ms Dunne will also manage a number of consulting and distribution partners.
PricewaterhouseCoopers has announced the admission of nine new partners to the firm. Mr John Fay has been appointed partner in PwC's VAT unit, while Mr Andy O'Callaghan and Mr Ken Owens have been named as partners in its investment management and mutual funds group. Ms Ann O'Connell has been appointed head of PwC's business strategy unit. Ms Teresa McColgan has become a partner in the PwC financial services industry group, with Mr Paul Tuite being named as partner in the PwC transaction services unit. In the area of technology and e-business, Mr Joe Tynan has been named as partner focusing on high-growth technology companies. Ms Anita Kissane, specialising in the music industry, and Mr Dave O'Malley have both been named as partners in PwC's Limerick office.
Mr Albert Alexander has been appointed general manager with IONICS (Ireland), water purification specialists. Mr Alexander will have full responsibility for all domestic and commercial activities.
Conduit Software has announced the appointment of Mr Fergus Kennedy as head of development. Mr Kennedy joins Conduit Software from Accuris where he held the position of programme manager with responsibility for the development of number management systems.
A new director of capital programmes has been appointed at Aer Rianta. Mr Mark Foley will have responsibility for delivering the major infrastructural and development projects that are currently under way at the three Aer Rianta airports at Dublin, Cork and Shannon.
Gateway Europe, Middle East and Africa has unveiled a number of new appointments. It has named Mr Paul Heath as vice-president, Ireland and Britain. Mr Heath will assume overall responsibility for Gateway's operations in Ireland and Britain, while Mr Neil Stevens will take up the position of director of marketing, Ireland and Britain. Mr Clive Larkin has been promoted to trade and marketing manager covering the Limerick, Galway, Sligo and Kerry regions for Beamish & Crawford. Mr Larkin has worked with Beamish & Crawford since 1989 as a sales representative.
Two new appointments have been made at Bord Glas, the horticultural development board. Mr Declan Fennell has been appointed development/ marketing executive with responsibility for managing the board's industry development programme and developing the potato sector, while Mr Gary Graham has been appointed development marketing executive with responsibility for developing and co-ordinating export markets for amenity produce.
Mr Norman Walsh has been appointed principal engineer of IC design by Duolog Technologies. Mr Tom Mulcahy has been appointed chairman of the DCU Educational Trust.
Mr Larry Carr, sales and marketing director at Wavin Ireland, has officially taken over as managing director of the company.
