Clothing retailer Primark plans to open 10 new stores in the the UK over the next 10 weeks. The stores
were bought from Miller, a Scottish construction company, for an undisclosed sum and previously traded under the name Living.
The new stores are part of an ongoing expansion by Primark into the British market, with three more openings planned after Christmas. These will bring the number of stores operated by Primark to 98, including 35 Penneys stores in the Republic.
Primark is a subsidiary of Associated British Foods, a publicly quoted company with a portfolio of brands which includes Ryvita, British Sugar, and Allied Bakeries.
