Pulse Learning, Ireland's fastest- growing technology company, ranks just 51st against its peers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Winner of Deloitte's Irish Fast 50, a ranking of the fastest-growing tech companies in the previous three years, Pulse Learning trailed 50 other companies in Deloitte's ranking of the top 500 high growth firms in EMEA.

Israeli companies - Voltaire, Celltick Technologies, and Runcom Technologies - were ranked first, second and third respectively in the 2007 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA.

Voltaire, which makes server switches and software, grew 50,612 per cent.

Zamano and Digiweb, who were placed second and third in the Irish competition, achieved 74th and 77th positions in the overall EMEA ranking.

A total of 18 Irish firms managed to make it onto the list.

The UK has the most ranked companies with 91, followed by France with 68.
