Software manufacturer Rapid Technology Group plans to focus on sales and marketing in the coming year, rather than developing technology.

After the company's a.g.m. in Dublin yesterday, chief executive Mr Brendan O'Sullivan said: "We believe we have what it takes to crack the customers' needs but it is a case of making the business proposition work.

"I think we're in an attractive position . . . but I wouldn't want to set expectations too high."

Rapid manufactures display technology and software known as "screen key", primarily aimed at the retail market. "We are actively working with many of the big players in the US, and our product is currently in pilot and labs with some of these players," Mr O'Sullivan said.
