The post of Director of Public Prosecutions is among the hundreds of jobs advertised in the 19 recruitment pages in today's Business This Week 2.

Applications are invited from barristers or solicitors for the position of Director of Public Prosecutions which is one of the most senior legal posts in the State and is up for grabs following the retirement of the current director in September.

The post is being readvertised without the seven-year time limit fixed in the original advert.

Information technology professionals remain in popular demand although education also features strongly this week with UCD, UCC, DIT and the Department of Education and Science among those seeking staff.

Cognotec, which develops automated currency trading systems, has a full page advert seeking IT professionals to fill what it describes as "a range of exciting opportunities".
