In the midst of the ongoing investigations of irregularities at National Irish Bank, the bankers' federation director-general Jim Bardon facing a grilling from TDs and senators at the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Finance and the Public Service on Wednesday.
Although not in the front-line of recent inquiries, AIB directors may be bracing themselves for close questioning from shareholders on banking practices when it holds its a.g.m., also on Wednesday.
Tesco: Irish retail analysts will be looking closely at the breakdown on full-year figures from supermarket giant, Tesco, due out tomorrow. These will be the first results from the company to reflect the £630 million acquisition of the Quinnsworth, Stewarts and Crazy Prices chains.
British analysts expect the group to cement its position as Britain's most profitable grocery retailer.
Wise Speke expect an upbeat report after a positive Christmas statement, with pre-tax profits rising from £750 million sterling to £830 million. Expansion into Europe, home shopping and of new developments with loyalty cards are elements that investors will be keen to hear about.
