The Frankfurt stock market surged 2.61 per cent with the DAX index ending the official session at 5371.76 points, helped by a strong Wall Street, traders said at the close. Traders said that, for the moment, the market seemed to have digested worries resulting from the Russian crisis, a process helped by Wall Street's strong performance in the first part of the session yesterday.
Paris CAC-40: 4029.32 (+91.89)
Paris share prices rose sharply, gaining 2.33 per cent on the day on the back of a rise on Wall Street overnight and good economic news at home. Monday's 0.39 per cent rise in US share prices and news of a 12.4 per cent increase in French building permits issued in the second quarter gave a boost, said Mr Patrick Certner of Bourse Ferri.
Milan Mibtel: 23603 (+569)
The Milan market ended stronger in a technical rebound and boosted by the stronger Wall Street opening. Dealers said, however, that trading was thin.
