Shannon Vale Foods Ltd last night revealed that no jobs will be lost at its 90-job factory in Clonakilty, Co Cork following a fire earlier this week which caused an estimated £5 million (6.35 million) worth of damage.

The company's sales manager, Mr Noel O'Callaghan, confirmed yesterday that no jobs would be lost at the company, which plans to transfer production temporarily to two smaller facilities in Limerick and one in Kildorrey in north Cork.
