The e-learning group Smartforce is to acquire the Canadian company Skillscape for just over €5.5 million payable in Smartforce shares. Smartforce will issue 175,000 shares to the owners of Skillscape and these are currently worth $5.3 million (€5.7 million.)

Skillscape provides solutions that enable companies to assess knowledge gaps within their organisations and then customise learning solutions. The deal is expected to close during the current quarter.
