The Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland has launched a new publication, The Practice of Pharmacy Guide and made it available on CD-Rom. This is the first time the society's guidelines on legal, ethical and practical issues have been combined in one publication. It was completed by the Society's Practice of Pharmacy Committee.

The guide takes in the Misuse of Drugs legislation and medicinal products regulations. It also covers the code of ethics for pharmacists, including advice on legal challenges posed in the area of drug addiction. The guide will be distributed to all registered members of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
