Solectron, whose Irish plant employs 300 people, has entered a strategic alliance with Ingram Micro, the technology wholesale distributor.

The formation of the alliance is not expected to affect the Irish operation based at the Clonshaugh Industrial Estate where computer systems assembly takes place.
