MORTGAGE BROKER Perfect Mortgages, which traded as Freedom Finance and specialised in offering subprime mortgages to people with poor credit histories, is to hold a creditors’ meeting later this month.

A notice in the Irish Daily Staryesterday indicated that Freedom Finance and Mortgages Limited, Second Chance Finance Limited, JPM Financial Limited, Perfect Mortgages Limited and two other related companies will hold a creditors' meeting on August 12th in the Hotel Kilkenny, College Road, Co Kilkenny. The meetings will be held for the purposes mentioned in sections 267 and 268 of the Companies Act. This part of the Companies Act concerns the appointment of a liquidator for the purpose of winding up a company.

The website for Freedom Finance invites customers to “re-organise your debts, restart your life”, and indicates that the mortgage broker held agencies with a range of mortgage lenders, including subprime lenders Nua, Springboard and Start, none of which are operating in the Republic any longer following the collapse of the property market.
