Tax authorities in Stockholm have frozen Swedish assets held by Lord Moyne of Britain as part of investigations into the Trustor company, the Dagens Industri newspaper said yesterday. Officials took preventive action by confiscating shares held by Lord Moyne in a Swedish holding company, Lord Moyne Holding AB, which were worth 50 million kronor (£4.4 million), the report said.
The authorities acted the day after British legal authorities froze assets worth $13 million (£8.64 million) held by Lord Moyne in the Swedish Trustor investment fund. Lord Moyne is chairman of the company, from which about 150 million kronor is allegedly missing.
