Normally the Minister's word is law. But there seems to be, er, ongoing negotiations between Bord Failte, the tourism industry and Minister McDaid over the the controversial new tourism logo. For the moment, the new logo is still featuring prominently, despite the ministerial misgivings. The Margin's man on the fairways reports that at last weekend's Smurfit Open the new logo was prominently featured on hoardings on the course as the cameras flashed pictures around Europe.
