Quirky Beamer €42
The iPhone 4 may be out today, but there are plenty of people who plan on holding on to their 3GS handsets. The one problem? The 3GS has no LED flash, unlike its more up to date successor. If it’s a deal-breaker for you, the Quirky Beamer could be the answer.
The durable case also doubles as a built-in camera flash – and a torch, should the need arise. It switches on and off at the touch of a button. It is powered by a coin battery, which on one hand is great because it won’t drain your already under pressure iPhone battery, but on the other, means it’s not rechargeable, so at some point you’ll have to replace it. Still, it gives your 3GS and 3G handset a bit of extra life.

Sony Walkman E450
Aimed at the younger music fans, Sony has unveiled a new video MP3 player that is designed to be easy to use. The Walkman E450 is a colourful addition to Sony’s line-up. The interface has been redesigned to make more fun to use, with a redesigned playback screen that lets you scroll through cover artwork. Karaoke fans will get a kick out of the Lyrics sync and karaoke modes (the rest of us will just get a headache). Using the .lrc file format, you can display the words of songs on screen. The karaoke mode will allow you to sing along, reducing the original performer’s vocals so you can hear your own warbling over the top. You can even adjust the playback key so you can hit the high notes with ease. The battery life holds up to 50 hours of music and 10 hours of video.
