Seene brings photos to 3D life

Seene renders the subject of your photo in 3D with realtime 2D object recognition, tracking and 3D rendering

3D blockbusters have not proved to be the saviour of cinema, nor were 3D TV’s the next big thing in home entertainment but 3D smartphone apps are cheap, fun and throwaway, if required.

One such app, Seene, cleverly renders the subject of your photo in 3D with realtime 2D object recognition, tracking and 3D rendering. In other words, you point the camera at something, hit focus and, as you pass the camera slowly over the object, it tracks and converts into a finished product that jumps off the screen. The added depth gives images a surreal aspect: a Seene selfie looks like it should be hanging in Hogwarts.
