Let’s be honest: the current crop of two-wheeled “hoverboards” are the most misleadingly named devices yet. Because they don’t hover. Not even a little bit.
But the Flyboard Air, now, that's a different story. Before you get too excited, it's still a prototype.
So to the claims, which are pretty outlandish. Apparently when – or if – it hits the market, you can zoom up and down at speeds of up to 150km/h.
It will also go up to heights of 10,000 feet, but that seems like a move you may not want to risk without some sort of backup in place – ie a well-packed parachute.
Between charges it will only run for 10 minutes though, so you’d have to time your journeys carefully, or face a long walk home.
It will be a while before the Flyboard Air is ready to hit the market, but we’re waiting patiently.
