Vodafone has raised its outlook and now expects to record full year profits of between £11.4-11.8 billion (€13.3-13.7 billion) despite facing challenges in the Irish, Greek and Portuguese markets.
The mobile operator pointed to growth in the emerging Indian market and robust trading in northern European countries such as Britain and Germany, as it announced forecast beating first-half results.
Vodafone Ireland said it had 2.22 million mobile customers at the end of September, an increase of 17,000 across its total customer base during the third quarter.
