InstalliPhoto for iPad, iPhone
Apple iPhoto has finally been converted into app form and the results are far from disappointing. This powerful piece of photo editing software has been reimagined for the iPad and iPhone with plenty of great features to tweak your snaps.
There’s a handy palette of brushes for removing red eye, adjusting colour saturation, sharpness and light levels. Taking advantage of touch interface, iPhoto allows you to pinch and zoom to crop, straighten or zone in on specific parts of the image. Well worth €3.99 but it doesn’t work on the iPad 1.

If you’re heading to Dublin for the St Patrick’s Day Festival this year, this free app for iPhone and Android from Mobanode is a must. Everything that’s going on around the city is listed by event type or location.
The live video feed is a good feature for those who might be watching from abroad. Also worth downloading for the craic is iPaddy ( iPaddyapp.com), a fierce handy app on Irish slang, so it is.
