ClubApp.ie This one-size-fits-all sports app is quite impressive

ClubApp.ieThis one-size-fits-all sports app is quite impressive. It's a web app that displays well on all smartphones and can be used by soccer, rugby or hockey clubs.

The app seems suited to local and regional sports clubs, with users including CBC Monkstown and Old Belvedere Rugby Club. It pushes out reports from matches and has the ability to add live scoring and match events. The club can also add its team stats, location details and training information. Check out the ClubApp video for details on all the features: iti.ms/VhATJT www.clubapp.ie

Facebook’s Graph Search and privacy

Facebook’s new Graph Search isn’t technically invading your privacy or exposing private information; it uses information already publicly available. The problem, says the Electronic Frontier Foundation, is discoverability. The new feature “allows users to use structured searches to more thoroughly filter through friends, friends of friends, and the general public”. Graph Search is in beta testing, so we’ve yet to see what effect it will have but one thing is for sure, snoopers will have a new power tool at their disposal.
