Tesco yesterday introduced a new offensive in the price battle between British supermarkets, with a move to sell electrical goods from all its British stores at discounted prices.
Tesco will start off by selling digital cordless phones in all its 653 British stores at £59.99 sterling (#90.24), £30 less than elsewhere. The move illustrates heightened price rivalry between Britain's supermarkets since US retailer WalMart bought Asda.
