The textiles company Desmond's, which makes clothing for Marks & Spencer, has announced that it is to shed about 130 jobs. It is to close its factory at Magherafelt, Co Derry with the loss of 94 jobs while there will be more than 30 layoffs at its plants in Derry City, Dungiven and Omagh.
