YOUNG DESIGNERS and engineers are being invited to “think big” and come up with groundbreaking ideas to be in with a chance to win an international design award.
The winner of the James Dyson Award will get £10,000 (€12,000) to develop their invention, while their university department will also get £10,000.
The award is open to engineering and design students and graduates from 18 countries, including Ireland.
"Budding engineers and designers can use their fresh perspective to develop wonderfully simple solutions to baffling problems," said inventor James Dyson (pictured, left).
