The board of Aer Lingus will be briefed by management on the restructuring plan for the airline.
Minister for Public Enterprise Mary O'Rourke will meet with the chairman of Aer Lingus to discuss the situation at the airline.
Friday:
Officials from the Department of Public Enterprise will travel to Brussels to discuss the aviation sector in Ireland and the Aer Lingus survival plan in particular with senior EU officials.
Minister of Public Enterprise will have further meetings with the chairman of Aer Lingus.
Unions at Aer Lingus will be briefed on the restructuring plan.
Taoiseach Mr Ahern meets EU leaders at Gent summit.
Tuesday
The Minister will seek cabinet approval for Aer Lingus to raise a commercial loan backed by the Government. This will be subject to agreement by the European Commission.
If approved, talks can begin between Aer Lingus management and unions on restructuring.
